About the Destination
Flag Point holds a significant place in Indian history. It is the site where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hoisted the national tricolor flag for the first time on Indian soil on December 30, 1943, declaring the islands independent from British rule. Today, it features a massive flagmast flying the Indian flag, along with a beautifully decorated seaside walkway that offers fresh ocean breezes and views of the harbor.
